The Newborn Baby Experience

There is nothing more beautiful than capturing your newborn baby’s first few days or weeks of life. MagicEye Design takes pride in providing a one of a kind professional photography experience by creating breathtaking portraits that celebrate the new addition to your family. We understand the importance of preserving your family’s precious moments.

We recommend scheduling your newborn photography session within the first 21 days. This is when we can capture those amazing shots because the baby is flexible and sleeping. Baby is still used to being in the womb and will not mind while we’re curling them into those adorable poses. While we can capture beautiful images at any stage, keep in mind that beyond those first days we will not be able to get the sleepy, curled poses and your newborn would demand to be hand held during the session.

We offer 3 different types of newborn sessions, all to suit your lifestyle and budget. All newborn sessions are tailored specifically for your baby and your family. Once booked, we will discuss ideas on style, colours, props and wardrobe and will also send you more information and tips about your session.

BASIC : £200

1 Hour  Studio Session for

 pictures of the Baby only

  • Ideal if you are looking for beautiful, natural yet uncomplicated portraits of the baby.

  • One hour session at our studio.

  • 3 High resolution pictures emailed.

  • Parents bring baby's clothing & props.

Well heated, very spacious studio with pram access.

SILVER : £300

2 Hour  Studio Session for

pictures of the Baby only

​

  • Ideal if you are looking for those creative portraits of the baby with a wow factor.

  • Two hour session at our studio.

  • 5 High resolution pictures emailed.

  • Includes the use of various new born dresses & props available at our studio.

  • Parents too bring baby's clothing & props.

  • One 42 cm X 32 cm Framed Photo Print.

  • All pictures as shot from the camera.

GOLD : £400

3 Hour  Studio Session for

pictures of the Baby + Parents + Siblings

​

  • Ideal if you are looking for individual portraits of the baby plus the baby with brother/sister, parents or even your pet. We discuss a variety of ideas and image references with you and then recreate those ideas. This session can be particularly very enjoyable and memorable if you have more children.

  • Three hour session at our studio.

  • 15 High resolution pictures emailed.

  • Includes the use of various new born dresses & props available at our studio.

  • Parents too bring baby's clothing & props.

  • Three 53 cm X 43 cm Framed Photo Prints.

  • All pictures as shot from the camera.

Tips For A Successful Newborn Session
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early with the baby hungry and plenty of time for a solid feeding here in the studio before your appointment. We have a private room for you to feed and relax. This will give the baby an opportunity to fall asleep here and be ready to go at your appointment time. We want to spend as much time as possible in the studio.
We plan to keep the room very warm. Please make sure you are dressed comfortably as well and bring your outfit for the session separately. For adults, we ask that you bring both a light and dark coloured shirt (or dress) for the shoot. We prefer if the dark coloured shirt is short-sleeved or sleeveless. We may have your hands or shoulders in the pictures and usually do one or two family shots.
If there are siblings that are included, they should come during the last 30 minutes of the session only. We prefer siblings to be dressed in white or light colours. For the baby, we recommend that you bring along extra bottles (if you are not breastfeeding), a pacifier for soothing, and extra diapers.
